Inspirations

Inspired by landscapes and seascapes, natural objects and ancient jewellery, I aim to communicate my response to the world around me. I also want to evoke a sense of ancestry in something contemporary and wearable. Life events and travels continue to inform my work also.

Alongside making I take photographs of all kinds of things that catch my eye... shapes, textures, patterns, elements of which often present themselves within my jewellery. I make a lot of one-off pieces but items that are the 'same' are also unique.

No two pieces are ever exactly the same.

I work instinctively using various techniques and processes, vitreous enamels (which are torch fired) and the versatile effects of the flame.
